Exactly how I see it. It’s been a steep learning curve. Our lack of physicality noticeable. We’ve been too loose and not clinical enough in the final third. We need to add another attacking dimension in, and around the box, we don’t seem to attack the 6 yd box for crosses or ‘peel off’ to the back post. We are a ball to feet, running onto the ball on the ‘deck’ team. Need more options.
I think we can all see where we need to strengthen and improve but it is going to take time, both in terms of understanding how to battle effectively against teams that are bigger/better than us, and also bringing in the right personnel in January. My take is that Schuey is someone who is willing and open to learning how to be better in all areas under his control, and that speaks volumes about the man. A point at WBA is a very creditable result. A win on Wednesday is, well, I hate to say essential but if we don't......there will be trouble at t'mill!
